Chet Hylton was born in Kingston Jamaica. He grew up spending many summer holidays with his Aunt May in Luna and over time developed a love for the community.

He graduated from St. Mary High School in 1986 and later worked for the Jamaica Public Service Co., until he migrated to the USA where he now resides with his family.

His love for the community of Luna has motivated him to join forces with his cousin Andrew who shares a similar passion, to help those in need.  His vision is that the community will be developed through education, to be a beacon for others to emulate.

Chet believes that, for every problem, there is a solution.

Earle Danvers

Earle Danvers was born and raised in the Luna District to parents Elijah and Gloria Danvers. He remained in the community until his young adult years when he left to gain valuable work experience and build a life for himself. His passion for the continued growth and development of his hometown has however lead him to answer the call to serve as a member of the Luna Compassionate Association since 2017. He now lives in Portmore St. Catherine but has never really left Luna as he often makes multiple trips back to the community each week where he pastors the Luna United Pentecostal Church. Outside of his roles as Pastor and member of the Luna Compassionate Association, Earle enjoys watching the game of cricket and is also a car fanatic, so much so that he has built a career in the automotive repair industry spanning over 30 years. Earle is married to his wife of over 30 years, Sharon, a union which has produced two sons Oran and Orane.

Nigel Wright is a senior military officer of the Jamaica Defence Force in which he has served for over eighteen (18) years with specific expertise in military intelligence and security. He was born in St Mary and spent most of his childhood in Luna District where he currently resides with his lovely family. Nigel is currently a Mphil/PhD student at the University of the West Indies, the research of which investigates citizens’ adherence to building regulations in deep-rural constituencies with focus on local governance for sustainable development. He also holds a master’s degree in International Public and Development Management at the University of the West Indies. One of his philosophies is that in order to create meaningful, large-scale impact in society, one must first have a solid ethical and financial base. It is with this notion that he has developed a passion for entrepreneurship as he seeks to create meaningful community development opportunities.

My name is Dionne Clarke-Williams, and I am proud to be a board member of the Luna Compassionate Association. I am from Belmont District, Lawrence Tavern St. Andrew, Jamaica. I have been a teacher for over 30 years and a principal for eight years. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the International University of the Caribbean, and my Masters in School Administration from the University of the West Indies.  I am the principal of the Paisley Primary School which is located in the Luna Community.

I have been involved with many professional memberships, including being the treasurer of the North West District Association, Treasurer of the Luna Compassionate Association and Sunday School Superintendent of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.

My educational experiences have afforded me the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing students’ achievement and well-being, encouraging others to look to the future, to do good for their community and their country by extension, and move them to positive social change. It is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily.

I have been married for 15 years and have two fantastic children. I also enjoy watching movies, listening to music, cooking, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
